I think the internet industry is a great business to get into. The barriers to entry are low, there are so many low cost resources available and the possibilities are endless. With less than $100 you can get your own website up and running, you can do free marketing using social networks and friends to spread word of mouth! More and more things are happening online and it’s a great place to stake your business.

If you are already a nurse, the holistic health care nurse is a wide open field. There are so many non-professionals offering health advice and promoting MLM and other products, sometimes ones that are dangerous. Who better to do it than someone who actually knows about and is educated in health care. Unlike hospital based nursing, this allows a nurse to follow a patient for longer periods of time and to actually see the results of the health education that is given. With more people not being able to afford insurance or health care and increased numbers of people wanting to avoid pharmaceuticals and doctors, the time is right.

Online education seems to be an industry promising huge benefits both for the providers and the clients/students. There’s no need to have an actual college or university building, no need to pay for utilities – the list can go on forever. It’s a great way to save money both for the owners and the students. The only problem appears to be the legitimacy of online institutions.

Best areas to start a business is ALWAYS what you enjoy and are passionate about, and have gained knowledge on. You spend way too much time on the business for it to not be. Don’t worry about trends and the economy; worry about learning how to be the best at your business.

There are thousands of people who make money by selling how-to information: Tony Robbins, Brian Tracy, Dr. Oz, Steven Covey, Zig Ziglar along with a ton of not so known people (per Brendon’s book). We all are an expert in something whether it’s how to be happy, how to use Twitter, how to organize your home….find what you are an expert in and use eBooks, webinars, teleseminars, audio book programs, books, seminars, and coaching to share your knowledge with others. Brendon teaches this and says to give value, give value, give value, then ask for money. For example: in my business I would offer a free eBook on how to Use Linkedin to Brand your Business, then maybe offer a free webinar on how to manage social media in 30 minutes a day, then maybe a White Paper on Twitter Tips….then sell an ebook for $37
