What Foods Give You The Most Energy?

Entrepreneurs work extremely hard and just like any car or truck, business owners need fuel to get them through the day. Some entrepreneurs and business owners shared what particular foods give them the most energy.

Glow-Green Smoothie, Seeds and Nuts & Fruits and Vegetables

(1) Glow-Green Smoothie – Filled with lots of vitamins, minerals and enzymes to help you power through your day! (2) Seeds and nuts – Seeds (chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds) and activated nuts (almonds, brazil nuts, walnuts) are a great source of fuel. (3) Fruits and vegetables – Fruits like bananas are great for energy. Blueberries are high in antioxidants which will give you lots of energy as well. Leafy green vegetables are also full of phytonutrients, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals which will provide your body with nutrients to give you energy.

Vegetables & Fruits with a Particular Color

Most vegetables and fruits come in the 7 colours of the rainbow. This means, each colour has a different energy. This is so because, depending on the activities we are involved in, we use up a different type of energy. Hence to replenish this energy we need to consume foods of that particular colour. For example, when you are tired or physically exhausted, eat a red apple. Within minutes you will feel refreshed and full of energy.

Blueberries with Edamame

Blueberries mixed with edamame – perfect mix of protein carbs and antioxidants. Also, Life can be a bowl of charries if you eat a bowl. Both take less than 3 minutes to prepare and can be eaten over time like snack foods.

Organic Foods

Foods that are organic. I love a shake made from Matrix Meal with coconut milk & a fruit thrown in. I love (again organic) unpasteurized almonds & occasionally goat or cow's milk. Protein sources like eggs fed non GMO foods & free roaming. Same with a breast of chicken.

Cereal, Sweet Potatoes, Legumes & More

Complex Carbs! (1) Uncle Sam Cereal is a must (wheat allergies aside, of course). Loaded with fiber, protein, omegas and more, it’s something I’ve eaten daily for a decade and also highly recommend to family and friends. (2) Sweet Potatoes, Broccoli, Asparagus, Mushrooms and Cauliflower are other good sources of complex carbohydrates. (3) Legumes (aka Beans) double as a complex carb plus an excellent source of lean low-fat protein. (4) Barley, Quinoa, Bulgur, Brown Rice, and Oats contain healthy fiber, fats, minerals, vitamins, enzymes and photo-chemicals. (5) Citrus Fruits are complex carbohydrates that provide a myriad of benefits including cancer and heart disease prevention.

Eat High Raw Food, Green Smoothies, Superfoods & More

I have plenty of tips for getting rid of fatigue as I have been an “energy freak” since age 15. These include eat a high raw way (at least 80% uncooked food), green smoothies to get packed with oxygen, don't eat much sugar or starchy carbs, go easy on caffeine which depletes your adrenals, be sure to get plenty of vitamin B12 from liver or beef (very lightly cooked), eat superfoods high in minerals, and more! The best thing for people to have for lunch to boost their energy is a green smoothies. The greens provide oxygen to increase work productivity. The greens make the person more alkaline instead of acidic, which is draining. I have come home on a Friday night, exhausted after a 60-hour work week, made myself a green smoothie containing fresh squeezed orange juice and kale and a pinch of cayenne, and have been suddenly energized enough to clean my condo! I want to add here, that when you eat cooked food, your pancreas has to crank out digestive enzymes, whereas when you eat raw, the enzymes are there, in the food, to help digest it. This constant taxing of the pancreas shortens your life, and makes you have a lot less energy while you are alive. Dr. Edward Howell, who spent his life researching this, claims that your life span is indirectly proportional to the amount of cooked food you eat—in other words, the more cooked food you eat, the sooner you will die. There are also plenty of toxic byproducts in cooked food that contribute to this.

Dark Chocolate

Dark Chocolate- chocolate is only very recently being recognized as healthy and as a good addition to ones diet for a little energy boost and other health benefits. I am not talking milk chocolate or chocolate laced with milk and other products. Some of my favorite are Amano and Millcreek Cacao.

Quinoa

Quinoa. Started a diet where organic quinoa is the main side dish. Quinoa keeps me full and provides nutrition for the whole day to the point that I'm able to have only one meal a day, then every 2 hours I drink water and eat small portions of fruits.

Vegetables

I think that vegetables provide the most energy. I eat them many times daily and I can eat a lot of them. I think that the foods that sap my energy are sugar, caffeine and processed white flour and sugar products.
