7 Entrepreneurs Explain How They Use Their Podcast for Business

Podcasts are becoming a favored means of engagement for numerous entrepreneurs. They serve as an effective tool for educating audiences on various topics and delivering market news. Additionally, podcasts offer an excellent avenue for engaging with clients and audiences, providing a platform for them to share their knowledge, expertise, and opinions.

We inquired from entrepreneurs, podcasters, and business owners about their utilization of podcasts for business;

#1- To provide opportunity

We created the Sydney Property Muppets (our podcast) with a long-term vision. To provide property buyers and sellers in Sydney the opportunity to listen and hear about the specific inner workings of the Sydney property market (not the Australian property market) and to also provide myself (Buyer's Agent) and Kurt Lawther (Real Estate Agent – my podcast partner) the seeds to plant with future clients (but knowing that we would have to be in this for the long-haul to see results.

#2- As a helpful resource

Social Media agency Melbourne Social Co. recently launched a podcast, Approved. Approved is hosted by sister duo Hannah and Nicole, and speaks to young and up-and-coming social media managers, as they navigate the industry, trends, pop culture, and the mental health issues that inevitably come along with working in such a fast-paced and reactive industry. The podcast, whilst not openly a sales tool, positions Melbourne Social Co as an industry leaders, and as a helpful resource for those looking to build a career in social media.

It's not just about promoting my products or services but creating a community around my brand. The podcast serves as a platform where I can showcase my passion for food, share valuable insights, & engage with my audience in a way that goes beyond traditional marketing. Plus, it allows me to build a stronger relationship with my customers, who get to know the person behind the dishes they love.

#5- To understand mindsets

I can address both of those for you. I have recently pivoted my business from mortgage broking and property investment – having helped tens of thousands and being named one of the top 4 personal finance influences in Aust – to understanding mindset and why some achieve and some don't. I have 2 podcasts- one on property interviewing the top Australian experts- the new one is www dot exitthemartix dot io which talks about sliding door moments and how people are doing things differently. Having educated so many and see so many not take action or the wrong action I am pivoting to the root cause.
