How Business Owner and Entrepreneur Motivate Employees [Infographic]

In Lance Trebesch’s June 15 Blog, we all learned all about how NOT to Inspire a Startup. However, while it’s great to know what to avoid, sometimes it’s good to have a plan of action too.

The key, as Lance suggested, is motivation. But these days, there are so many opinions and techniques out there that it becomes hard to know where to start. To this end, the employee benefits team at Unum have devised a brand new infographic which links 8 crucial motivators to one all-encompassing theme: trust.

This follows research conducted by employee engagement expert, Susanne Jacobs. Really, it is all quite simple: invoke trust in your workforce and see a clear improvement in productivity. Whether it’s trusting employees with decision-making powers or simply increasing rapport between colleagues, the Jacobs Model really does show that Trust is the Answer.
